September 17, 2020

A new bill was signed on September 14, 2020 by Governor Murphy that will compensate essential workers who contracted Coronavirus while on the job. This bill will make it easier for workers to qualify for workers’ compensation. The law states that workers who test positive for COVID-19, are assumed to have contracted the virus at work or somewhere related to their job.
