NJ State Judges ruled Companies to Pay for Employees’ Medical Marijuana While on Workers’ Compensation

Many employers have argued whether medical marijuana issued to patients receiving workers’ compensation should be reimbursed and if it violates federal law. New Jersey state judges recently ruled that companies will have to pay for employees’ medical marijuana while on workers’ compensation and that reimbursement does not break federal law in terms of possessing, manufacturing, or distributing the drug.
